The exhibition and panel discussion themeis the broadly understood relationship between word and image, visual arts and literature, the link between letter, text and image, content and form.
The invited artists representing different generations and six universities and academic centres in Poland address the topic differently, showing the audience a broad spectrum of interpretations. The exhibition presents art books, illustrations or works inspired by literary works, but also those whose authors create their own graphic and painting signs, as well as their meanings.

Exhibition is a part of ongoing project 'Safer and sustainable etching methods in printmaking’ founded by the Art & Design Institue at the Pedagogical Univeristy of Krakow.

Exhibition accompanying the 11th Polish Print Triennial in Katowice

The exhibition was held within the framework of Halina Cader-Pawłowska’s project entitled In Praise of the Workshop (a reflection on the situation of traditional printmaking techniques in the context of the development of printmaking as a modern medium). In this part of the project, works transgressing the limits of the traditional printmaking technique were presented.
